Shot from section 104 at Staples Center. We ended up with an extra ticket and not much time to sell it, so I decided screw it, I'm just going to use it. I ended up pleasantly surprised by the crowd-- holy crap, a Los Angeles crowd is actually on their feet! And it's not just the first 3 rows of the crowd! Look at Where the Streets Have No Name, the ENTIRE FLOOR is cheering and bouncing around!!
Very nice. Even if idiots were still leaving en masse before the encore...
As for videos, I honestly wouldn't bother unless you are morbidly curious. The live MP3-only sets from other u2.com members are much better if you just want to hear the music!
Videos: (not comprehensive. AVI, right click to save as)
- City of Blinding Lights. Opening song. Felt very dramatic, actually.
- Vertigo. Short clip-- it's just vertigo. =P
- Elevation. Hear the crowd screaming? Oh, hell yeah...
- Elevation, continued. Bono into full swing. Stage looked beautiful at the show, but it's hard to make out in postage-stamp sized video.
- Cry/Electric Co.
- The Ocean, aka, the Pacific Ocean. ;-)
- New Year's Day. Why oh why is this song so good live??!!
- New Year's Day, continued. Yes, it's good.
- New Year's Day, continued. I tried to get almost the whole song...
- Beautiful Day. Another absolutely kickass song. The hairs on my arms still stand up when I listen to it.
- Miracle Drug. Sounds much better live than on the album.
- Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own. I'm surprised they used the walking man for this song, rather than only for Running to Stand Still like they did at Anaheim.
- Love and Peace or Else. Can't see much on the video, sorry.
- Sunday Bloody Sunday. Mmmmm, yes, awesome song...
- Bullet The Blue Sky. Another song that's really strong live.
- Running To Stand Still. Without any graphics, it felt very subtle in its sound. Nice and beautiful in a different way than at Anaheim 1.
- Running To Stand Still, continued.
- Zoo Station. It lacks impact in the video-- live in person was much better.
- The Fly. The flashing text for visuals is MUCH more dramatic on video than it is in stills!
- The Fly, continued.
- Mysterious Ways. No belly dancer visual this time. Instead we had 2 girls-- one invited, one uninvited (!) running around on stage. (no, you can't see them in my video)
- Those two girls, on stage. (very grainy)
- Pride (In The Name of Love). Beautifully rendered live. What else would you expect? And you can hear the crowd!
- Where The Streets Have No Name. Part of the "Africa" set with Pride and One. Watching the lighting bars display the flags looks really cool live, not so cool on my 320x240 15fps video...
- Where The Streets Have No Name, continued. Flags are retracted.
- One. Apologies for the short clip.
- One, continued.
- All Because Of You. Moderately entertaining. =)
- Yahweh.
- '40'.
